If the book was published, it probably has a copyright. So, it would be illegal to copy and distribute it.

Does the book have a copyright? If so, it probably has a library identification number that you can tell us.

I'm not familiar with these types of things; but, it seems to me that the person who had the book printed or published, was interested in making sure that the Genealogy Community would have access to it.

My guess is that copies might have been sent to various agencies and groups, such as the National Archives and the Minnesota Historical Society.

If the book was published, it might be possible to obtain a copy on loan from a local library, via interlibrary exchange.

Maybe somebody who knows about these things can help us out.
