DOD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Pfc. Conrado D. Javier Jr., 19, of Marina, Calif., died Dec. 19 in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his vehicle with an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment, Vilseck, Germany.

Yo conoci a Federico Deschamps Fernandez , que de hecho sus restos se encuentran enterrados en mi cripta.
Ocure ser que yo soy su nieto , hijo de uno de sus hijos.
Los hijos de Federico Deschamps Fernandez una vez casado con Hercilia y que fue minero toda su vida. son Enrique Deschamps Fernandez, Federico Deschamps Fernandez y Antonio Deschamps Fernandez . Tambien hubo dos hijas de este , quienes son Perla Deschamps y Patricia Deschamps

I am the eldest son of Valeriano Marigmen Jr. My father is the youngest of four children. My grandparents Valeriano Marigmen Sr. and Victoria Marigmen came to the United States and settled in San Francisco,CA.

Fernando Bautista Javier

Fernando Bautista Javier of Guadalupe passed away on Feb. 14, 2005 at the age of 92. Born on May 30, 1911 in Calero Morang, Rizal, Philippine Islands, he arrived in the US at the age of 16, where he worked for local farms and traveled up to Alaska seeking employment. In 1942 he joined the US Navy and served our country during World War II from 1942-1945. He later worked at Vandenberg Air Force Base until his retirement in 1978.

He is survived by his children: Louie Javier and wife Yolanda, Audrey Javier, Vickie Javier-Catalan and husband Norm, and Connie Ferreira and husband Alfonso. He also leaves grandchildren Connie Renee Gomez, Louie Lee Javier, Andrea and Carlos Avery, Jonathon, Christopher, and Mathew Catalan, and Yvette Ferreira. Great grandchildren are Tristen, Alyssa and Lauren Gomez. Mr. Javier also had many friends who will miss him.

Mr. Javier was preceded in death by his wife, Angelina Arias. He is survived by her children, Victor Hernandez, Bert Hernandez, Petra Rodriquez, Rudy Hernandez, Angelina Meza, Hortencia Gaines, and Eli Hernandez, and their children Anthony, Yvonne , and Christina Hernandez, Isaac and Karina Hernandez and Steven Gutierrez and Isaiah Gains.

A rosary and a funeral mass were celebrated and he was buried in Guadalupe Cemetery with full military honors.

This might help you in your search. The 1910 puerto rico census is online and digitized. I know of only one Javier in my family. You are correct they are from the Aguada, Aguadilla area. My g-g grandmother was Ferreris Javier de Lopez, Manuela. I have no furher information about her.

No conozco a nadie de Puerto Rico, pero como estás interesado en saber cosas sobre el apellido Javier, te comento que mi abuela materna se llamaba Elvira Jerez Javier. Su madre, Sebastiana Javier nació en un pueblo de la provincia de Cáceres (España) llamado Benquerencia. Yo también he empezado a recopilar información, porque quiero hacer mi árbol genealógico. Si descubro algo más te lo haré saber, aunque mi línea de investigación irá más por mis dos apellidos paternos, Valverde y Donaire.
