The great thing about genealogy: three years can fly by because there's so many lines to follow. Welcome back!
I've since traced back to Henry "Jefes" through my last Jefts ancestor, Elizabeth Jefts born 1830 in NH (according to census records). Her parents, John Jefts and Asenath Haynes were married in Wilmington, VT in 1827 per town records. His residence at the time is given as Mason, NH. It seems that he took her back to NH, but I've yet to find out how or when the family moved back to Vermont where they lived John died in 1861.
Elizabeth's line is: John, Henry, Jonathan, Henry, Henry, and finally, Henry.
By the way, it appears the Jefts in Townsend, MA didn't move to NH, the state line moved and part of Townsend became Town number One, later called Mason.
I'd love to hear about your line. You can post or message me here on Ancestry with user "brear47" or donbrear "at" gmail.com.
