Hi, I Betty Jelvik Firl and when Grampa Jelvik was still alive and trying to teach me to speak Norwegian he gave me the correct spelling of his name; Hjelsvik pronounced Helsvik the J is silent we also are distant related to the Gelsvik who lived in the Fjord in Norway.

My parents; Nyals (Jim) and June Jelvik, Mom is still alive.

I am april my fathers name is larry. Paul is my uncle .Jackand lorraine were my grandparents my mother is Joy. I haven't been on the internet in 2 yrs. I FINALLY GOT A COMPUTER ! I would like to here from the people who posted responses I am sorry I didn't respond earlier . Still looking for aunt maria and uncle jackie who were taken in the 1940's .greatgrandmother juanita shelpman died when i was 4 yrs old and I WAS GREATFULL TO HAVE KNOWN HER,She would of wanted them to meet us .

we know family info very well.
jack and lorraine died and were buried in seattle, wash. sons Larry and Paul both married and divorced. lorraines mother Juanita. born in port townsend. dont have all dates at this time but able to obtain.
who is your mother? you would be thier great grand child...? have family tree info if you need can put you in contact with aunts and uncles on jelvik side. m hatley

my grandparents were neglectful and my aunt maria and uncle jackie were taken . they were believed to have been adopted by relitives in seattle area.moters name was lorraine shelpman jelvik and father was jack jelvik . iF YOU KNOW SOMETHING ANYTHING please email me ,thank you!
