year 1692, Daniel Jenifer/Accomack Co., Va./Robert Hawley

I am searching for any connection between Daniel Jenifer and Robert Hawley who are found side by side on the list of Tithables in Accomack Co., Va. in 1692. Daniel Jenifer also appears in Court in the absence of Robert Hawley and posts his bond. I think perhaps one of Daniel Jenifers shiblings or children married Robert Hawley. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Laura Hawley Mooring62@aol.com

Are you sure this is the same Daniel Jenifer who married Ann Toft? I've been researching his story for years and have found no record of a marriage to Mary Smith.

Daniel Jenifers Ordinary reconstructed at St Marys City MD

The reconstruction of St Marys City now includes Smiths Ordinary (tavern). Its original construction was completred after Smiths 1667 death by his widow Mary & her 2nd husband DANIEL JENIFER (b.ca.1637, imm. by 1658), and was then a hub of village life. Mary died ca. 1670. Did Daniel continue to own & operate Smith's Townland after he married ANN TOFT & moved to Accomac Co. VA in l67l?

Jenifers in Maryland

I am researching the oldest grave in my hometown of Shady Side, MD. The man's last name is Jenifer and he used the term "Esquire" after his name. He died in 1810 and was a relatively young man. Anyone with any knowledge of this man's life story would be greatly appreciated.
