Tammie,
I don.t have your answer, but I know of some
Jenkins's that moved from Jackson Co Ala late
1830's to Pike Co. William Jenkins, a Rev war
soldier was one, pension #31774, dd 10/14/42
in Pike County Ar. He served as sergeant under Capt Thomas Jenkins and later in Capt.
William Bratton's So Carolina regiment. These
Jenkins's were originally from Va. They came
thru the Carolina's into Ky, Tn, and Ala. My
branch left Jackson Co. Ala in 1838 and came
here to Polk County, Mo. There were a number
of Jenkins's in Jackson Co Ala 1830 census
including my bunch and also the one referred
to above. I would be glad to exchange what I
know if you feel there might be a connection.
