CUMBERLAND HEAD — Frederick R. Jennette, 60, of Oswego Lane, died Saturday, March 17, 2001 at CVPH Medical Center.
He was born in Plattsburgh on Oct. 22, 1940, the son of Kenneth and Gladys (Morgan) Jennette.
He married Rita P. Blow on Sept. 28, 1963 in Peru, N.Y. Rita died on Aug. 22, 1996.
Fred served with the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968, including a tour of duty in Vietnam.
Fred was a utility planner at Georgia Pacific in Plattsburgh for many years.
Survivors include his fiancée, Shirley Blake of Schuyler Falls; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Jill Jennette of Sciota, Kevin and Sue Jennette of West Chazy; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Glennice and Roger Jones of Corunna, Ind., and Gail Snyder of Ticonderoga; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2001 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Louis de France Church in Sciota.
Entombment will follow in Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens in Plattsburgh. Donations may be made to YABA, Youth Bowlers, 28 North Bowl Lane, Plattsburgh, N.Y., 12901.
