I'm having no luck finding the parents of my GGGrandmother Amelia Jennette. From what my Grandmother told me, Amelia's mother was Phoebe. Amelia married John Rock. I have Amelia as born Mar 1854 and she died November 10, 1944. She would have been in northern Clinton County, most likely Chazy or Champlain. Thank you in advance.

We may have more connections! I am going through the names you have on this site. I do have a lot of Pollards from Va.connected to my Thomas line. My grandmother Bertha Thomas married William Herbert Gibbs Sr., my grandfather.
I will let you know if I find more on these families and the Jennettes...

Okay, I knew who Rany and Unaka were. On my family website,
I have some info on Unaka, that you might be interested in.
Received them from the National Archives when they sent
my great grandfather's lighthouse service file.

My GGGgrandfather was Harvey Jinnett/Jennett b.1803 NC. He was in Montgomery Co. Tn. census in 1850, with wife Sally and children Robert 12, Mary 9, Arsena 7, Hester 5, Frances 4, Benjamin 3 and Zachariah 1 month. In 1860, he was in Cheatham Co. where the family remained. Mary, my GGgrandmother, married W.A.Swift, Oct. 13,1859 in Cheatham Co. The family lived around Ashland,Thomasville and Pleasantview. I am told some still live there. I would appreciate any info. CUMBERLAND HEAD — Frederick R. Jennette, 60, of Oswego Lane, died Saturday, March 17, 2001 at CVPH Medical Center.

He was born in Plattsburgh on Oct. 22, 1940, the son of Kenneth and Gladys (Morgan) Jennette.

He married Rita P. Blow on Sept. 28, 1963 in Peru, N.Y. Rita died on Aug. 22, 1996.

Fred served with the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968, including a tour of duty in Vietnam.

Fred was a utility planner at Georgia Pacific in Plattsburgh for many years.

Survivors include his fiancée, Shirley Blake of Schuyler Falls; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Jill Jennette of Sciota, Kevin and Sue Jennette of West Chazy; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Glennice and Roger Jones of Corunna, Ind., and Gail Snyder of Ticonderoga; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2001 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Louis de France Church in Sciota.

Entombment will follow in Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens in Plattsburgh. Donations may be made to YABA, Youth Bowlers, 28 North Bowl Lane, Plattsburgh, N.Y., 12901.

Son by the name of Frank (Francis) Jannett. B: 4 April 1820. Frank married Mathilde Crosiet dite Puchay.

I had a g-g-grandfather Edmon Mathis who married a Harriett Jennett or Jennette in Humphrey Co. Tn.Nov. 14, 1867. She had a Nancy that married a Thomas Holland October 22, 1865 in Humphrey Co. Tn.
Can anyone help? I would sure appricated it very much.

Thanks; I have some information and I really don,t know about it. There was a harriett Jennette in the 1850 cencus of Haywood County, Tennessee.She was a mother 30 years old, her husband was William F. 33. They had six children Henry 11, John 9 , Matilda 7, Frances 5, Wm. 3 Harriet 2. Then there was a Harriet Jennette in Davidson Co. Tn. Harriet was 1 year old. She had a sister Nancy that married a Thomas Holland in Humphrey Co. Tn. That's what lead me to believe that this was the right one. I have no idea. There was a Harriet Jennette Mathis that married Noah Adams in Haywood Co. Tn. Thanks, Bettie

Looking for information on Albert Holman Jennett born in Chowan County North Carolina, but lived most of his life in Mobile, Alabama. Marrie Mary Russell in 1842.

Captain Jennett served in the Confederat army, and assisted in raising the Second regiment of Alabama Infantry, and became the first Captain of Company H.

He died in 1894. He and Mary Russell had 15 children: Robert C., Frank, Albert, Augusta, Margaret, Mary, Henry, John W., Innerarity, and Eliza.

They had Antoinette Casano, Jon Leana (Lena) Casano. This was her 2nd marriage. She was first married to a Quigley in Italy. I believe he died then she married Francisco Casano.
