Harold F. Jennison Jr., NEW LONDON

NEW LONDON - Harold F. Jennison Jr., 84, of Knollwood Road, died Wednesday at New London Hospital. He was born in Medford, Mass., the son of Harold and Sarah (Gillmore) Jennison. He graduated from Dover High School in 1936 and attended the University of New Hampshire from 1936-40. Jennison worked as a registered professional engineer for the state of Massachusetts. He was co-founder of Micro Precision in Sunapee and founder of Unicraft Corp. in Newport, now Gloenco Corp. He served as president and owner of Manufacturing Services of New England Inc. in New London from 1966 until retiring in 1984. He was a member of the New London Area Chamber of Commerce and served as its president from 1980 to 1981. He was instrumental in building the New London Information Booth and was an avid collector of stamps and trains. He was a member of the American Philatelic Society of America and the Lionel Train Collectors Society of America. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Pearl (Kendall) Jennison of New London; four sons, Craig Jennison of New London, Kim Jennison of Contoocook, Bud Jennison of Frendswood, Texas, and Dean Jennison of Ocala, Fla.; a daughter, Laurie Mickey of Glenwood Springs, Colo.; three brothers, Allyn Jennison of Madbury, Richard Jennison of Antrim and Robert Jennison of Rochester; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and 38 nieces and nephews. Six brothers, Charles Jennison, Lewis Jennison, George Jennison, Russell Jennison, Edward Jennison and Roger Jennison, died previously. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New London Hospital, 273 County Road, New London 03257; or to the Lake Sunapee Region Visiting Nurse Association, P.O. Box 2209, New London 03257. Chadwick Funeral Home in New London is in charge of the arrangements.
