In 1880, Joseph and Mary lived in Jasper, Dubois County, Indiana. Henry and Anna were at home. There was an orphan living with them named Ignatz Sherman and three boarders: Pims Eckenfels, Florian Flick, and Joseph Kenner. All four were brick workers.

Henry went to Estancia, New Mexico with his brother-in-law and sister, Attila, where he registered for the draft.
Henry never married and in 1930 was living on Mill St. in Bainbridge township, Jasper, Dubois, Indiana with his mother, Mary. His occupation was gardener.

Tillie’s father died when she was just 3. In 1900 she was living in Bainbridge, Indiana in the home of Celia Hochgesang as a servant. She moved out to California in order to escape the attentions of the local priest. There she met Clarence Raymond Geyer. They were married and moved to Estancia, New Mexico. After a few bad years of drought they moved back to California, first to Antelope Valley, then to Peach Street in Monterey Park. In later years they lived in Sunset Beach.

Nora was in a nursing home for years. Harry divorced her after a time and right afterwards she recovered.

In 1850 Joseph lived in Bainbridge.
In 1860 the family lived in Bainbridge Township, Dubois County, Indiana. Their last name is written “Gerger” on the census. They had a boarder named Francis Duffers.
In 1880 the family lived in Jasper, Dubois County, Indiana. Joseph Sr. was a farmer and Alois and John worked the land, too. Joseph, Jr. was already married. Stephen had died and Mary Ann was out of the house.
In 1900 Joseph lived with his son Lawrence and his wife, Helena in Bainbridge.
In 1910 Joseph lived with his son Lawrence and his family in Bainbridge, IN.

Sent you an email detailing my research findings including some resources into the BANAT people/area and also what I know of the JERGER name. Mine were from Glogowatz which was Austro-Hungarian, Hungarian and now Romanian. They came over to USA and settled in Chicago, IL.

Hi,
My great-grandfather was born in Romania, but some of his documents say Germany (I think some of his documents got changed due to the war). He came to Brazil during the war, and there are a few Jergers here in Brazil, particularly in the state of São Paulo.
I've been looking so much for further info about my family, but couldn't find much.
His name was Christian and his mum was Elizabeth.

Thanks for the reply. This is all I know about Everett L Jerger. When Everett married Violet Miller in 1926 he said on marriage certificate that he was 23 yrs old. Violet lied about her age and said she was 18 (was only 16). They got married in Durant, Bryan Co., Ok. In nov 1931 Violet filed for divorce on grounds of abandonment. I do know there was a Everett L Jerger that was married to a Gladys Stone that had an Everett Edwin Jerger Sept 2, 1938 in Dallas Co., Tx. I am not sure this is the same Everett Jerger may another just to close. Anyway so I only know that our Everett should have been born about 1903. The other problem we are running into is that my Aunt(now dead) was born 5 mounths before Violet filed for divorce. If there is any way you can help me sort this mess it would be a big help. hi i was just talking to my mom about everett jerger this morning. Everett did move around dallas texas remarried to a gladys stone. They had a son Everett in 1938 in Dallas. Let me know if this is familiar and I have a little more info

Did you try the looking at the Family History Center website
(the Mormons, LDS), for birth records in Oregon, for there children? They might have it on Microfilm, you can order the film at your local Center (after looking up the film number on their website). Are you looking just for there Decendants? If so maybe try anywho.com or switchboard.com if there are and Tropfenbaum listed you can hopefully get there addresses through these site, and just write letters asking if they are related. I've done that myself, and you'd be amazed at how nice people are in responding, make sure you put your Email address in the letter.

If you need the LDS site address just let me know.

I have the JERGER name as ethnic german living in Glogowatz, Hungary in the 1700s-1920s. My Adam JERGER died in WWI on the side of Germany or shortly after. In abt 1919 the village of Glogowatz became part of Romania. Adam's wife came to Chicago, IL in the 1920s. Their daughter came in abt 1909 to Chicago and married a KAISER also from Glogowatz. Looking for any information on Franz Tropfenbaum or Kathering Vormittag from Golgowatz. Left in about 1904-8 and came to New York then on to Portland Oregon. Three daughters and one son. Two remaining sons with the family name, James and Robert.

I really have no information or knowledge of the family before 1900 but my mother probably would. I'll forward this to her. I do know there was an Eva, Magdline (Madlyne) and Rosalia (rose) but that too would have been in the early 1900's as Eve was my grandmother, born about 1900 and Madlyne, my mother. I think my grandfathers name was Johann (john) and his father would have been born in about 1870?

My first JERGER to arrive in USA was Rosalia arriving Sept. 1909 in NY then went to Chicago, IL to marry Johann Caspar KAISER at St. Michael's Church in Chicago Feb. 1910.

Based on the Glogowatz CDs I have found her parents

Adam JERGER born 1857 in Glogowatz and Rosalia SCHMALEZ born in 1861in Glogowatz. She was the second JERGER of ours to arrive in USA in the 1920s.I do not have a Johann as a brother to Adam sibs include Michael, Georg, Eva, Magdelena, Rosalia, Catharina.

Adam's parents are Georg JERGER born abt. 1835 and Eva HAYBERGER born abt 1835. Both born in Glogowatz.Georg's brothers include Henri and Franz. Henri had a son born abt 1871 named Joannes but I have him dying in 1871 also. Henri married Anne VEBER.

Georg's parents are Franz JERGER born abt 1808 and Magdelena KAYSZER.

Not sure this sheds any more light on any connections. I do have some of the children outside my direct lines but not much.

My grandfather, John Jerger, and family came to this country from Hungary in about 1908 and wound up first in Union Grove Wisconsin, then Chicago Illinois. If this sounds like the family that you are trying to get info for, let me know and I'll see if I can help. There were 7 brothers as I remember.
