Does anyone have any information on this person.She is my great,great grandmother,all I know is that she had a daughter out of wedlock Helder (Hilda) Ludbrook Jermyn born 1880 In London who was fostered to William Nickerson and Naomi Nickerson(Rivett)from Great Yarmouth. She later died in Hull at the home of Hilda but may have married somewhere.

I'm seeking information on the Jermyn Family who left Southern Ireland and moved to Corwall. I've got back as far as John Jermyn, a Coastguard, born @ 1787, who moved from Clonakilty to Padstow about 1833. I know nothing about their line prior to the very late 1700s. I'm also seeking information about my great grandfather Edward Jermyn (Germyn) of Padstow, whom I believe was lost at sea 1886/7.
Any information would be so gratefully received.

My GT/uncle is Owen German/Jermyn born Liverpool UK 1871 married Teemore about 8 miles from Belturbet 1901.Owen was the eldest of 7 children and unusual for Irish couples not to name their children after the father Edward or grandfathers Isaac [German]or Patrick[Seery].The next 3 sons were given those names.Do you know the names of Ellen and Owens parents to help me in my research.I've visited Belturbet and noted at least 15 Jermyns interred in the C.O.I CEMETERY.Mary Ann Seery my GT/GM was born just outside Belturbet 1849.I'm striving to find my GT/GF Edwards Irish birthplace.Anthony German Liverpool

Hi,

I am looking for any information on Ellen Jermyn/Germaine who married a Bernard McCusker circa 1860's. These were my g.g grandparents. Ellen had a brother called Owen.

They had my g.grandmother Catherine McCusker (bap. 23/06/1866) and atleast one other child named Ellen (bap. 21/06/1872).

Catherine married William Gough 29/01/1893 and had atleast 6 children including my grandmother:

Bernard b.09/02/1984
Mary-Anne b. 18/03/1895
Pat b. 12/02/1897
Catherine b. 04/04/1901
William b. 01/03/1903
Margaret-Jane b. 09/11/1907 (my grandmother)

Any birth/death/marriage dates would be greatly appreciated especially regarding Bernard McCusker and Ellen Jermyn.

I am searching for Thomas Jermyn, b. 1865 IR, d. 1898, Danvers St. Hosp. He married Annie Connor 05/1888, in Andover, MA. They had 3 sons, William (d.1903), John, and Everett.

I think Thomas's parents were William and Mary, from IR.

I descend from Thomas Jerymn's (1838-1928) daughter Susan with his wife Ellen Allen (1841-1916). Susan Jerymn married Ole Larson and my mother's mother was their daughter Otellia Larson. Don't know about Thomas & Ellen having any children named Ellen and Allen. My mother's family lived in Chippewa Falls, Lafayette County. She has quite a bit of family history. There were multiple marriages and many half brothers and sisters. My mother has mentioned the names of Whites, Brands, & Mahoneys.

I just finished looking at the 1880 US Census and found my Jermyn family in PA. Their name was spelled JARMAN on the census. Edward JARMAN. So, if you can't find your Jermyn family under Jermyn try JARMAN.

William Jermyn married Susan Levis in County Cork
Ireland. Children: Isabelle and Thomas Jermyn.
Isabella married Samuel White in County Cork, Ireland.
They came to america in 1871. Susan Jermyn came with them.
They settled in Layfatte, Wisconsin. Thomas came with his two
son's William and Edward. Had a farm in Layfette, remarried.

I was made a mistake when I replied to your last message. Thomas is my uncle but because I am just starting out, I found out that my great grandfather was also named Thomas. He had I believe he had 8 children, I am still looking into all of the siblings with the help of my parents. My grandfather was named Elmer, he had 4 children: Thomas, Anne,Helen Mary, and John (my father)all of which grew up in Oswego NY. I'll let you know as soon as I find out the names of the children by my great grandfather Thomas.

I grew up in Oswego NY, Thomas was my Uncle, my fathers name is John Joseph, they have 2 sisters named Anne Helen Mary; their fathers name (my late grandfather) was Elmer. I have just started my search for my ancestors, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I may have information that can help you out. I believe Thomas Jermyn was a Great great uncle of mine. My great great grandfather came from Ireland about 1880 and
he had a brother Thomas that came over at about the same time. George(my gggranddad) settled in Peabody working in the leather factories there, while Thomas moved to somewhere around Oswego NY . dont know if this helps any but feel free to email me if it does.

My husband's "Jermyn" line is as follows:
Grace Ann Jermyn married Richard B. Wilson, supposedly in Rochester, N.Y.
They moved to Massachusetts, where they lived in and around the Peabody area as well as the Westwood and Dedham area.
The dates that we are at are 1880's to 1890's.
As near as we can figure Grace was between 14 and 16 years old when she got married.

I am looking for my husband's great-grandmother,
Grace Ann Jermyn. Her parents were Thomas Jermyn
and Bessie White.
We were always told she was born in Ireland.
We know she was married to Richard B. Wilson
(supposedly in Rochester, NY) around 1881.
From what we've been able to ascertain she was 14
at the time of her marriage to Richard.
Their first child was born in 1881 in Westwood or Dedham,
Massachusetts.

William and Susan were married in 1837 county Cork. Their son William immigrated to America about 1870 and settled in Rochester NY. William and Susan are my gggrandparents.

Daniel Jermyn (b. 1850's) and his wife (unknown) had at least one daughter, Emily (known as Alice) Jermyn.... Alice married Darien Blackmore (post civil war era), in or near Scranton Pennsylvania... Children's names were Emily, Williard, Susan, Mary, Rose, Anna, Gertrude, Walter, Daniel and infants who died early.
Looking for more info about Emily (Alice) like birth, death, mother's surname, sister's, brothers.

Do you know what years these marriages took place? My Jermyn/Jerman ancestors came from County Cook, and a lot of them came to USA in 1849. Lets look into this as we may be distant relatives.

JERMYN, WATKINS and GIBBON families in PA

I have some info on two JERMYN sisters, Charlotte and Mary (Mamie) from Coleraine, PA. They married brothers named Evan and John GIBBON. The girls are daughters of Edward JERMYN and Mary WATKINS. I just visited Beaver Meadows cemetary and a cemetary in Weatherly, PA. These are near Hazelton, PA. I have info on some of the other family members of the Gibbon and WATKINS as well.
My grandfather, Joseph GIBBON(b: 12 SEP 1897) married Ida LEWIS(b:27 JAN 1897), daughter of John LEWIS and Mary JONES of Audenreid, PA.
If anyone has any connections or info on these family names in this area of Hazelton, Coleraine, Beaver Meadows, Audenreid,and Wilkesbarre, PA; I would be grateful.

I have JERMYN ancestors. I was just up in Beaver Meadows and Weatherly, near Hazelton and Wilkesbarre, PA this past weekend. We went to the cemetaries in those towns. I will have to find out from my brother what Jermyns we found. He has all the info with him. We are connected through two marriages of JERMYN sisters to two GIBBON brothers. Their names were Charlotte (Lottie) JERMYN and Mary (Mamie) JERMYN. The brothers were Evan GIBBON and John Roosevelt GIBBON. Charlotte married John GIBBON in PA on 15 JAN 1892; and Mamie married Evan in Coleraine, PA on 23 OCT,1880. They lived next door to each other. Evan and Mamie's baby died after a few days and never had any others. Lottie and John had a lot of children, so my grandfather and a sister. My grandfather was Joseph GIBBON. The father of Charlotte and Mary was Edward JERMYN and the mother was Mary WATKINS. Mary (Mamie) is buried in the Vine St. Cem., Hazelton, PA. Charlotte is buried in the Jeanesville, PA Methodist Cem.
Their children were: Reba, Joseph, Harry, Evan, and Ruth.

I found a Hannah JERMYN who married Owen EDWARDS and had a daughter, Mattie and another girl. Her family were also from the same area. I think it might have been Owen EDWARDS grave I saw. We saw EDWARDS in one of the cemetaries. This Hannah was related to Joanne Wilson at: JWislo@aol.com.
