Are you from or live near an area known as Broxburn. I know that Jeromson,s from Shetland settled in that area so we may yet be cousins.

Hello again Claire.
Delighted to have made contact with you. My Jeromson Family Tree goes back to a John Jeromson in Walls, Shetland in the early 1700's.
But the tree really starts with Jerom Manson and Elizabeth Wishart who were married on 29th October in Walls. FRom that union I have approx. 2000 names scattered all over the world. Some of the Jeromson family moved to Broxburn so I would have to say that there is a preaty good chance that you and I are related.
Can you tell me the name of your great granfather and I will have a search through my records to see if I have him

Hi Claire.
1. It was more than likely me asking for details about the Jeromson Family in Scotland.
2. Could I have your email address.
and 3. THere was a WILLIAM JEROMSON born in 1895 at 35 Station Rd, Broxburn. He died on the 23 Sept. 1964 I think also at Broxburn.

Just spoken to my dad and he and his family lost contact with his grandparents and he doesn't know his grandfathers name - my dads, dad,s name was William so I would think that there is a good chance that my great grandfather was also called William. Sorry I can't be more help.

My mum tells me though, that a few years back we had a letter from New Zealand from someone tracing the family tree which she passed to my grandfather - was this you, or a relative of yours?

I live quite close to Broxburn, its west of Edinburgh, about 30 mins form the centre. My brother David lives in Bathgate which is very close to Broxburn. All the Jeromson's in the area are relatives of mine in some way or another. I have 2 brothers who live here, one in Ireland and one in England. My grandad (William Jeromson) died a couple of years back but luckily my dad had 4 sons to carry on the name!
