Surnames: Jessop
I am told that I Descend from the Jessop's of the Steel manufacturers of Sheffield , William Jessop and Sons Ltd.
Also a Cutlery forger in Sheffield and the Jessop's were also the patrons of the Living of the Parish Church of Sheffield from 1567 until the early 1800's and Thomas Jessop, son of William helped build the Jessop's womans hospital in England.

I can not find the link back so I am hoping to find that line to follow forward to find my link.

He was a director of a railway system that fed Lancashire and Cheshire, and was known as "The Cheshire Lines Committee"
This Railway Company (like all the smaller ones) was incorporated into major companies after the first world war. In the case of Cheshire Lines it became part of the London, Midland & Scottish Railway. Then after the last war all British railways were nationalised into British Rail.

He married GEORGINA DOROTHY GIBB December 24, 1890 in England, daughter of LADY GEORGINA GIBB. She was born September 26, 1873 in London England, and died August 16, 1956 in Toronto.

They came to Canada in 1905, 1906 or early 1907.
