I descend from the above mentioned line, but I have a question. I have always accepted the listing of Joseph and Phoebe's children, but never have I seen anything which shows how this lineage was derived. I have researched the line very thoroughly, and have never found anything which presents proof of their children.

Does anyone know how the children were assigned to Joseph and Phoebe? I have the following children: Rhoda and Reuben, who were presumed to have died in infancy; Stephen, b. 1795 (m.Nancy Bailey & Martha Parker); Kezziah, b. 1796 (m. Ezekiel Hamm); William, b 1797 (m. Martha Dickerson); Abraham, b 1799 (m. Nancy Locke); Elijah, b. 1800 (m. McFaddin, ???, Laws, and Parr); James, b 1801 (m. Elizabeth Pointer and Elizabeth Phillips Gilmore); Rebecca, b 1803 (m. Benjamin Walker); Sarah, b. 1804 (m. James Bailey); Hugh, b. 1805, (m. Mary M/Hilton); and Phoebe, b 1811 (m. Rowland B. Hubbard). James and Elizabeth Pointer are my line.

I would really appreciate knowing the source of this lineage. I believe they are correct because of various places I have researched and found everybody nearby, but I have nothing which says that "these are the children of" Joseph and Phoebe Chrisman Jett.
