I have been searching the Jetter for some years and just found John Jetter b 1873 in Wertterm(misspelled, can't make our correct spelling on census) in Germany.
He married Frances La or Le Schwab who was born in 1887 in Minnesota.
There children are listed as Martin W., Robert G. and Claude F. born in early 1900's in South Dakota. In the 1930 census, South Dakota-Haakon-Marietta- Dist 15, there is a John C. Jetter listed as a nephew, who is living with them. he was born in 1900 in South Dakota.
This John Carl Jetter is who I am looking for. I want to know who his parents and siblings are.
He married into my family, Kathryn Elvina Frye and as far as I know, John Darwin "Jack" Jetter was the only child born (1934) to them before their divorce. She married James Delavergen (Virgin) Sykes in 1936.
In John Darwin Jetter's obit, aka "Jack" who died at St. George, Utah, it mentions survivors as daughters, Marinka and Darinka, (these two girls i do know about, they would be cousins.
The brother John C. Jetter, Jr. , sisters, Joyce Anderson, Gail Thompson, and Barbara Casc(I know nothing about) as his father's name is John C. Jetter.
I did find another marriage of John C. Jetterto Margaret C. Scott in Murdo, South Dakota on April 4th 1935, which fits into this family and I do remember my mother mention that he did remarry but to who, no mention of name.
Now if I can find this family, if it is the same John C. Jetter, and their children are John C. Jr, Joyce, Gail and Barbara, maybe I could find out more on John C. Jetter, Sr. of where he was accually born and if he died in 1959 and where.
I can't find out the Frye ancestors either.
Kathryn Elvina Frye is the daughter of Edwin Grant Frye and my frandmother, Harriet Adams Stiles.
