William Earl Wells' widow, Mary Wells, attends our Jobe family reunion every year in Fayetteville, TN. She lives in Lewisburg, TN. When William Earl Wells was adopted by George Jobe, they did not change his name. He kept the last name Wells. I have other information about the Samuel Jobe family if you need it.

Hi,
In my research I supposedly have a Jacob Jobe (b. 1737, d. 1808 Tennessee) and his wife, Deborah Mackay( b. 1738, d. 1814 Tennessee) as my 6th great grandparents. My line would be through their son, Jacob Jr. I also have the name changing to Job instead of Jobe. If you have time, I'd love for you to share what you may know of this couple.
Thanks.

Joan Jobe [1615-1671] (w/o) Henry Embrie

I am looking for information about my 9x great grandmother, Joan Jobe and her parents and/or ancestors. I know that she married Henry Embrie in 1635 in York county, Virginia and together they had a total of 4 children:

1> Issac Embry [1637-1699]
2> Ralph Embry [1638-?]
3> John Embry [1640-?]
4> Henry Embry [1636-?]

I know that Joan was born in England and died in York county, Virginia.

If anyone happens to have any information about Joan's parents and ancestors, I would really like to exchange information with you?

Thanks In Advance,
Chris Vickery
