I realize this is a longshot but, my grandfather changed the family name to Bjorkman in Sweden at about 1880? However, his brothers and sisters continued in the tradition naming process. His 2 older brothers came to this country (US) in July 1871 in the Chicago/Wisconsin/Minn.area. My Family oral history traditionally had my grandfather Per Bjorkman meeting his brothers in the Chicago area, as he was a building contractor. My grandfather went back to Sweden where he lived for the rest of his life. His 2 brothers Olof Emil Johannesson-born 9/24/1842 and Sven-born 3/4/1845 in Ostra Glanne, Frykerud, Varmland, Sweden.Would like any information about them as no word was ever heard from them again, at least to my knowledge.Perhaps I have cousins in the mid-west somewhere.Would like any kind of lead to where they moved to,lived, died. I'm sure they had changed or shorten their surnames. Thanks for any response. Dave Bjorkman
