Harris Johnson appears in 1840 census as head of household age 30 to 40 making this Harris born 1800 to 1810;
female age 30 to 40 [Margaret];
1 male 10 to 15 [1825-1830] not in 1850 household as a male Johnson,
1 male 5 to 10 [1830-1835] Benjamin D,
1 male under 5 [1835-1840] Robert,
1 female 10 to 15[1825-1830] Eliza,
2 females under 5 [1835-1840] Elizabeth and Delia.

Calculating marriage of about 1823 to 1824. He is the only Johnson on this particular page, between Neal Womble and Micajah Barnes and one of 49 Johnson families by 1840.

He is listed as Harris JOHNSTON in 1830 census in Chatham county, township of Pittsboro age 20 to 30, one female 15 to 20 [1810 - 1815] Margaret, one female under 5 [1825 - 1830] Eliza. The male in 1840 record age 10 to 15 could be someone other than a Johnson, perhaps the Spencer Bolling in the 1850 household, who knows?

There were 34 Johnston heads of household in 1830, no Johnson's and again he is the only one on this page.

For the record no Johnson's only Johnston's listed in 1800 with some of them showing up as Johnson in 1810 with Johnston still the predominant spelling.

1850
Harriss Johnson 45 1805
Margaret Johnson 35 1815
Eliza Johnson 20 1830
B D Johnson 1832
Robert Johnson 1836
Elizabeth Johnson 1834
Delia Johnson 1838
Harris B Johnson 1840
Susan Johnson 1842
Abner Johnson 1844
Hesper Johnson 1849
Spencer Bolling 1833.. could be the oldest male in the 1840 household ?

There were no Wilkerson's listed in Chatham county during 1810 - 1850 census. The LDS website indicates Harris or Harrison Johnson married Margaret Wilkerson 1828; Margaret Wilkerson born 1810. If they indeed married in 1828 that would make the oldest male in the 1840 household most likely not a Johnson. No lineage information on either.

Thomas Wilkerson born abt 1762 - 1766 of Chatham Co NC
Hannah Stinson born abt 1766 of Chatham Co NC dtr of Aaron Stinson and Rebecca

Aaron Stinson listed in Surry Co NC in 1810 census.

Keziah Johnson born abt 1796 "Catham" Co NC married John Brewer 1817

Johnson board subscriber and unrelated.
