Thanks for sharing the tip, but it doesn't match. The William H. Johnson in the NEW MEXICO DEATHS 1899-1940 posted in the USGenWeb Archives died 5/24/21 in Grant Co. William Hampton Johnson researchers have his date and place of death as 22 Apr 1914, Buckhorn, Grant, New Mexico, but no one cites their source for this information. The last documented residence I have for him was 1910 in Elk City, Beckham, Oklahoma, source: 1910 US Census. When did he go to New Mexico? Was he living there, visiting, or on a business trip? What was his cause of death?
