JOHNSON, EPHRAIM (EFRAIM), my great grandfather, was born in Finland in 1848. He immigrated to the United States in 1880 and was living AT 2457 C. ST. in Calumet, Houghton County, Michigan according to the 1900 Census Records. His occupation was listed as farmer. Believe his first wife was named MARY. The census records listed his wife of 13 years as KATIE born in Finland in 1867, she immigrated to the US in 1889 along with the following family members: sons ARRO born in Finland 1879, ARVI (ARNE?) born in Finland in 1872 and daughter HILDA born in Finland in 1881. Other family members listed were all born in Michigan and included daughters LIZZIE born in 1883, LENA (OLGA ELINA) born in 1888 and ELSIE born in 1893. A son HENRY was born in 1890. Believe various family members later moved to South Dakota, Idaho and Butte, Montana. I have received some information that Ephraim may have been born Efraim Johansson son of Johan Fredrik Michelsson/Mikkosson/Mickelsson and Vilhelmina Henriksdotter in Kankaanpaa village, Turku-Pori parish, but I have not been able to make the connection. Any information on those listed would be appreciated! Thank you! Linda
