Polly Ann Johnson b abt 1826 Alabama

Hi. I am trying to find information about Polly (may be Mary) Ann Johnson born about 1826 in Alabama. She may have had a brother named Peter L.

Both Polly Ann and Peter are in Panola County, Texas for the1860 and 1870 census records (Beat 5--Walnut Hill and/or Woods)

Polly Ann is married to Thomas M Hutchins. On the 1860 census, she is listed as Polly and on the 1870 she is listed as Ann. She died before the 1880 census. Her son's death certificate listed her maiden name as Polly Ann Johnson.

Peter is married to Caroline (who's maiden name may be Murray as there were two teenage boys living with them on the 1860 census).

If anyone has any information or clues for me, I would appreciate it. I have just located this last information and am excited to find out more. Polly was my great-grandmother.

Thank you. Sue

Maria Johnson of Mariadahl, KS

The Annual Reunion of the Maria Johnson family of Mariadahl, Kansas is always held on the third Sunday in August. Maria and her children, David, Gustaf, Victor, Christina, Charlotta, Clara and Emma, arrived in Kansas in 1859. Her two oldest sons, Nils Peter and John, had come to America seven years earlier and, after a stop in Illinois, settled in Pottawatomie County, Kansas. They emigrated from Sweden. They first lived in Östergötland län, and then Kalmar län. Maria’s name in Sweden was Maria Axelsdotter and she was married to Johan Nilsson. The children’s surnames were Johansson and Johansdotter.

Mariadahl, Kansas, meaning Maria's valley, was named after Maria. Members of each of these branches get together for a reunion each year and in August 2008, celebrated the 91st Annual Reunion. We share a potluck lunch, memorabilia, and stories. Someone usually has old photographs to show. We meet in different locations each year. If you are a member of this family, or would like to know if you are, please contact me, the Family Statistician. Join us next August for the 92nd Reunion.
I found his marriage record in the Morgan Co marriage book as 2 Apr 1840 (Almena Elliott) but the 1840 census for Morgan Co listed his as head of household, a wife and one daughter (Huldah). The 1850 Morgan Co census dated 11 Oct, lists her as age 11. That would give her birth as 1839. I believe she was born to a different woman than who is on the census. Is there any way to find a birth record for her listing her birth mother?

Johnson Native American Connection??

Trying to find possible Native American connection for my Great Grandparents..Robert Alex Johnson, b: 1867 MO, d: 1916 AR and Nancy Elizabeth Lanier, b: 1871 TN; d: 1904 MO
The Missouri connection is Dunklin County. Supposedly they took their daughter (Safrona) or (Saphronia) or (Sophronia) Alice to Oklahoma and in later years "Alice" received a notice from the BUREAU OF INDIAN AFFAIRS to come to Oklahoma for some purpose. We believe she never made the trip before she passed. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm looking for information on my great great grandfather Isacc Johnson. All that I know for sure is that he married Sarah E Walton on October 25, 1857 in Tuscarawas County Ohio. They had one son William Erwin Johnson born May 3, 1859 but not sure where. The next thing I'm able to find is a 1870 Census for Benton Township Hocking County Ohio and it just list Sarah and their son William. Any help on what happened to Isacc or even if anyone knows who his parents were would be very appreciated.

Thank you

Looking for parents and siblings of Isabella Johnson. She was born in SC 24 Dec. 1805 and married 11 Nov. 1826 in Walton County, Georgia to Newton Sims.
I've names and data on the children of Newton & Isabella, but no luck learning names or any data about her siblings and parents. Isabella was widowed by about 1846 in Coosa County, Alabama and is found as head of her household in the 1860 census for Tallapoosa County, Alabama. The last I've found of her is in the 1870 census for Chambers County, Alabama with her name misspelled as Isabella Semmes; She was then in the household of her married daughter, Martha Lucinda (Sims) McKnight, and son-in-law, John McKnight.

I've a documented ancestry on this Sims line as well as some ancestry on McKnight.
c.e.sims@worldnet.att.net

Funeral will be held Saturday at the Satterwhite Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. LUTHER HIGGINBOTHAM, pastor of Rose Ave. Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Breckenridge Cemetery. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. M. F. JOHNSON of Breckenridge; two sisters, Mrs. C. J. FOSTER of Breckenridge and Mrs. OTIS CASH of Spur; and two brothers, J. B. and LONNIE JOHNSON of Breckenridge. Pallbearers will be CLARENCE, RECE, JOHN, G. W. and WILLARD FUNDERBURG / FUNDERBURK and HUBERT BRYANT.

Question: Are these two Johnson lines connected?
Is there a possible Mary Johnson who married a cousin of Hubert Allen Bryant while Mary Johnson lived in Arizona and Nevada
Ingrid Stina Reed m. Samuel William Johnson

I am looking for the family of Ingrid Stina Reed (her last name may be different, but that's what I got from someone else). She was born in Sweden in 16 Oct 1860 and immigrated to the US in about 1869.

Ingrid married Samuel William Johnson (b. 21 Oct 1860 in Sweden) sometime around 1885, I believe. They lived in Minnesota before moving to Nebraska in about 1900 (one of their sons was born in South Dakota in 1900, and their youngest daughter was born in Nebraska in 1901).

Ingrid and Samuel had nine children: Lilly, Roy, George, Ellen, Fred, Alice, John, Effie, and Clifford (my great-great grandfather).

Ingrid died in 1941 and Samuel died in 1933.

Does anyone have any information on Ingrid's parents?
