,Maury,Tennessee,USA[3]. They had 4 children.

2. Meredith Jordan son of Drury Jordan Sr. and Mary Exum[1, 4, 5, 6, 7] was born in 1756 in Brunswick,
Virginia, USA[1, 5, 6]. He died on 28 Feb 1831 in Davidson, Tennessee, USA[1, 5, 6].
3. Margaret ACRES daughter of James ACRES was born in 1760 in VA[8, 9]. She died in 1831 in
Davidson, TN[8, 9].

Meredith Jordan and Margaret Akers Acres married. They had the following children:
i. Benjamin M Jordan[1, 4, 13, 14] was born in 1785 in Greensville, Virginia, USA[1, 5, 14]. He
married Louisa Brown on 13 Aug 1816 in Dickson, Tennessee, USA[5]. He died on 14 Jun

4. Drury Jordan Sr. son of Thomas Jordan and Mary LNU[1, 6, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24] was born in 1727
in Isle of Wight Co, Virginia[25, 26]. He died in 1812 in Greensville, VA[25, 26].

Drury (Drewry) Jordan, Sr. was born in Brunswick County, Virginia. There he married Mary Exum.
See the Exum group.
In 1770, Drury Jordan, Sr. and his wife, Mary Exum Jordan, of Brunswick County, Virginia sold 150
acres on Fountaine Creek, a branch of the Meherrin, to Micajah Webb, adjoining Joseph Harrison
(Brunswick County Deed Book 9, page 522). In 1777, Thomas Jordan sold Drury Jordan 108 acres
in Brunswick County (Deed Book 13, pp. 81).
Drury and Mary Jordan probably had 9 children, of whom only one, Drury Jordan, Jr. is firmly
documented:
1. Drury Jordan, Jr. was born circa 1770-1775 in that portion of Brunswick County which became
Greensville County. He married Sarah "Sally" Cato on 13 February 1804 in Greensville County. She
was the daughter of Roland Cato, Sr. of Fountaine Creek where the Jordan land was located. Drury
and Sarah (Sallie) Jordan moved to Davidson County, Tennessee where they lived in Jordan Hollow
on Indian Creek. Drury Jordan died there in 1835 and is buried in the Jordan family cemetery on
Indian Creek. Ancestor - see later in Chapter 2.
2. Meridith Jordan was born between 1760-1770 He also moved to Davidson County, Tennessee.
Meridith Jordan lived in vicinity of Drury Jordan, Jr. on Indian Creek in Davidson County, where he
had bought land in November 1818. He died in 1831 in that county. Served in the War of 1812.
Name of wife is unknown. See Davidson County Will Book 9, page 486. See also West Nashville,
page 114. Issue: James Jordan, Benjamin Jordan, Rebecca Jordan, Clara Jordan, Williamson V.
Jordan, Hezekiah Jordan, John P. "Jacky" Jordan, Lavina Jordan, Winnie Jordan, Sally Jordan, and
Polly Jordan.
3. Jesse Jordan; married Jincy Hailey in 1791.
4. Edmond Jordan.
5. Braxton Jordan.
6. Rebecca Jordan may have married Edmund Woodward in 1804.

7. Mary Jordan married Rolin (Roland) Cato, Jr. in 1791 in Greensville County, Virginia. They also
moved to Davidson County, Tennessee. The estate of Robert Cato, Sr., deceased, was administered
by Roland Cato, Jr. in Davidson County on 11 November 1816. Among those receiving dividends
were Roland (Rolin?) Cato, Mary Cato and Drury (Drewry) Jordan.
8. Warren Jordan married Sally Vincent in 1805.
9. William "Willie" Jordan who married Elizabeth Goodrich in Greensville County on 30 December
1799. Bond was provided by Roland Cato.
