I am the great, great grand daughter of Ben Joyner. He was known to live in western Florida around the Monticello/Lloyd area.
Ben was probably born sometime around 1840 or 50's. I am not sure. I do know however that he had two families.
My relation to him is with his second family in Manatee County Florida. He had five children
with an African American woman, James Joyner, my great grandfather, Minnie Joyner, Lutz Joyner, Christopher Columbus Joyner and France or Nancy Joyner.
As far as I know Ben Joyner is buried in a cemetary in Lloyd or Monticello. My great grandfather is buried in the same place.
I am interested in finding as many relatives as I possibly can. If you can help me I would be greatful. My Joyner relatives are white and I am from Ben's
African American set of children. If you know anything about the bits and pieces I am able to provide in this message, please, please contact me.
