SHERMAN / Trucker indicted in fatal pileup
A Grayson County grand jury Wednesday indicted a Florida trucker on nine felony manslaughter charges stemming from a multi-vehicle wreck near Sherman this fall. Ten people died in the Sept. 20 accident on U.S. 75 after an 18-wheeler driven by Miroslaw Janusz Jozwiak of Daytona Beach crossed a median before plowing into a sport utility vehicle and a pickup. Five people in the truck were killed. The five victims in the SUV were a McKinney mother, her three young children and their grandmother. "We continue to gather evidence on this driver, and so we have held back one case from presentation to the grand jury in order to take additional testimony," said Grayson County Attorney Joe Brown.
