I have tried to straighten out this mess for a long time.
RED SAM was never married to Katie Grimes. Rev. John Samuel (Red Sam's Son) married Katie Grimes. They had two daughters, Katie Mae Judah Bryan, M. William Jennings Bryan of Bowling Green, Florida and Eliza Adella Judah. Aunt Adella was married several time but her children were by a Cecil Price, her first husband. Katie Grimes and Rev. John Samuel Judah were married February 23, 1908, not sure of place but I think it was in Dale County, Alabama. Katie died March 9, 1911 and is buried in the Grimes Cemetery, Ft. Rucker, Alabama. Even though his name was John Samuel he was always called "Sam" or "Rev. Sam". He was an ordained preacher and his last church was in Bowling Green, Florida. We have tried many time to set the record straight but apparently it is not reaching the right people.
