My husband's great great grandfather was born about 1804 in France and is found on an 1870 US census in Cheektowaga, Erie Co., New York, I do not know how many children there were but there appear to be two at least Joseph the great grandfather born in 1850-51 approx., and a daughter Mary Ann born in 1842 approx. Mary Ann was born in France but Joseph in NY, emigrated some time between 1842 to 1849. I also do not know the wife of Joseph Julius senior. Our Joseph married Louise Pitz and had 6 children, 5 boys and 1 girl all born in Erie Co., NY . Any info?
