I belong to the Junk family that settled in Saskatchewan, Canada during the early 1900's (Annaheim area). My grandfather's name was Philip Junk (married to Marie Blechinger). I believe our family line came from Schlied or Trier, Germany in the late 1800's (first to the States and then up to Saskatchewan to farm). I am looking to trace back our Family Tree and become aware of any relatives of ours. if you have any info it would be much appreciated.

Junks that are Scots-Irish

Looking for any Junk relatives that are Scots-Irish with ties to PA and the counties of Juanita, Dauphin, Sullivan, Westmoreland, Fayette, Tioga, McKean, Potter, Venango, and Mercer from the early 1800's onward...with roots in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland...some migrated to lower counties of NY...some from Fayette to Ohio. Others to Il, Wisc, Michigan.

Also looking from 1685 onward for descendants of James Junk in New Jersey who was deported from Leath, Scotland.

And looking for a John Junk, photographer, who spent a few years in Boise, Idaho around 1868.

John Junk of Corry, Pa.(circa 1846-1850)

Looking for any info on John Junk(1827-1903). He moved from Corry. Pa. to the Cincinnati, Ohio/Northern Kentucky(Bellevue) circa 1849. Supposedly, he moved back to Erie, Pa. in 1891. He moved back to Cincinnati circa 1898 and then died in Cedar Point, Oh in 1903. Any help would be much appreciated>

Junks of Irish Descent in PA

Looking for information on Junk ancestors from Northern Ireland. I think most of the Irish Junks migrated from Co Tyrone. My particular line has been Catholic for 4 generations but other descendants of the initial immigrant, Thomas Junk, who settled in near McCarroll Corners in Sullivan County, PA were Presbyterian. I cannot find the ship he came on and know only the year. 1838 to Philadelphia. Spending a few years in Philly with his youngest son, William, being born there, then moving to Sullivan County, PA. I haven't been able to find any Immigrant Ships listing he and his wife, Ellen Badger and other children: James, Lewis, Nancy Ann, John, Ellen, and Mary Ann all being born in Ireland.
If you could tell me when your Junk Immigrated from Ireland, I would be most appreciative. One of Thomas's children listed his father's birthplace as Byron in an 1880 Census...is there such a place in Ireland?

My great grandfather is William Henry Junk. I am the grandaughter of Floyd Edward and daughter of Donald Gene Junk.
I don't know if any of my information will help you but I will try. It is so great to find more Junk relatives. I have bee doing this only about a year but I am having so much fun finding new family and friends. Please email and I will see if I can help.
I know Charles Henry Junk added the c to his name.
I have a Gerald Charles Junck listed in my family tree and he was married to Deborah Brandow and the Sharon Settje Schafer. He was born 29 Nov 1947 in Wayne, NE. I have more information on that family if you would like to have it let me know.

She was my gggg-grandmother. Don't know if she was
Irish, German, English or what.

Would like to know where she was born, what her line
looks like before her ( her parents, grandparents, etc.).

All I have is that she married my gggg-grandfather, Thomas
Gibson, in Kentucky sometime between 1770 and 1824. Her approximate birth was sometime between 1751 and 1791. She died sometime between 1784 and 1845. One child of theirs (and my ggg-grandfather), William Gibson, was born in Kentucky, and later moved to Louisiana (where I live).

Any help would be appreciated of course. My mother always
said there was a German in our family tree, but as of yet I haven't found one yet ( we are 70% French, with the rest being Span/Port/Irish).

Maybe it's Sara Younk?

Thomas Springer was born 25 Sep 1837 in Fayette Co, Penn. the son of Aaron Springer and Mary Hibben. Thomas Springer died 24 Sep 1887 in Linn co., Iowa. The surname of his wife was supposedly JUNK.
Would like to know if Thomas Springer is buried in Linn Co.?

I have found him in 1860 Benton Co, Iowa, not yet married. Could not seem to find Thomas Springer in 1870 Iowa census. Would like further information on this couple and were there any children?
