I am researching my family tree and have always been told by my gran that we are descendants of Bishop Juxon. I have traced back to Oliver Jouxson born abt 1812 in Thornfalcon and was wondering if he was any relation to you. Would be grateful to hear from you. Seems there are several ways of spelling Juxon/Jouxon/Jouxson. Yours Sarah

Hello Maria, I am descended from Jouxon/Juxon of Somerset. My gtx6 grandfather was Rev. Benjamin Jouxon of Ubley and later Thornfalcon near Taunton. He lived in the early 1700's. We believe him to be a nephew of the Archbishop, or gt nephew, but as yet we are unable to prove it.
Way back circa 1948, my aunt, Miss Elsie Jackson of Bristol recieved a letter from whom we do not know. It said that she was congratulated to being related to the archbishop, and it might be a good idea if she changed her surname back to Juxon, which she didn't. My sister and myself would love to find out more, but we are coming up against a brick wall.
I would love to hear from you and see if we can exchange some informatio and possibly work something out of this puzzle!
I am also a decendant of the Archbishop of Canterberry. I am looking for any information on George Oliver Juxon (b1885) in Duddeston Aston Warwickshire. He married Elsie Broad in 1905. George Oliver's father was Charles (b 1851/2 - M 1873) and his father William. Any info would be appreciated.

JUXON GENEOLOGY

Looking for any Juxon's. The name does not seem to be that common. I am a descendent of the Juxon's. I know that a Mary Juxon married J. Blackburn in the 1700's in England. This is where my family line with the Juxon's begin and I would like to work my way further back as I am told that I am related to the Archbishop of Canterbury William Juxon around 1660. Any information greatly appreciated.
