I've run into your family line in my searches, but unfortunately they are not the same people. It was a puzzle for awhile until I found more details.
My gggrandfather Gottlieb Kaatz and his wife Caroline Drews immigrated from Germany to Wisconsin sometime between 1853 and 1855. (Daughter Augusta was born in 1853 in Germany, and then sons Godfrey-1855 and William-1857 were born in Wisconsin.) They are all listed in the 1860 census Stettin Twp., Marathon Co., WI.
