Kaatz from Stettin Township, Marathon Co., Wisconsin

Hello! I'm looking for relatives of the Kaatz's who lived in Stettin Township. William Kaatz, born in 1857, married to Marie Kolbe, son of Gotleibe Kaatz and either Caroline Drews or Henrietta Breitkrutz?

According to the 1870 census the family consisted of Augusta, Godfrey, William, Caroline, Wilhelmina, Julia, Austeiner, and then in the 1890 census - Gustav, Charles, Louise and Helene.

Does anyone know anything about this family? They were all Missouri Synod Lutherans as far as I know. I have some things to share if I can find some relatives!

Ernest Kaatz was in the Navy, World War I II, believed died in FL, possibly in a VA Hospital. Wife Marie. Brother George. Family originated in CT. This all I have at present as I am trying to help a friend.

Hi, I am also looking for information on the Kaatz family. My ggfather was Rudolf Kaatz married to Hellene Harms (Kaatz). They lived in Taylor Texas were my grandmother was born and then moved to Buckholts. I have found information on a Gustav Kaatz (Gus) from Hutto (which is close to Taylor) maybe a brother or coustin. I am looking for information about the Kaatz name. My father is James Martin Kaatz, who married Averille Smouse in 1955. He has one sister, Audrey Kaatz Williams. Their parents, I believe to be Frank and Hilda Kaatz, died when James and Audrey were rather young. Their grandparents, I believe were Frank and Elizabeth Kaatz. I'd be interested in finding out any information about them if possible.

The descendants of Walter and Minnie Kaatz met for their first family reunion at E.A.K. Ranch near Florence, homer of Ervin A. Kaatz, the couple's oldest son, on Mayh 26 & 27, 2000.
Brotehres, sisters and spouses gathered at the ranch on Friday and enjoyed spending the day with each other.There were over 40 members present including the newest addition to the family, Kyla.
On Saturday, the grandchildren and great-grandchildren spent the day visiting,playing games, some meting for the first time. Everyone present enjoyed a barbecue dinner in the evening and spent time visiting until late that night.
Walter and minnie Kaatz raised seven children: Ervin of Florence;Wernen of Las Vegas,NV;Walter Jr. of Compton,CA; Dessie Ann of Mesa, AZ; Adolph of San Antonio,TX and Rose Lee of Corpus Christi. All were presnet with the exception of Wernen and Walter Jr.
All five Kaatz sons served in World War II and their parents who migrated from Germany in the 1800s settling on a farm east of Thrall and south of Sandoval.
Minnie Kaatz was the daughter of Fritz Brinkmeyer Sr. And Lena Brinkmeyer, also a family from Germany. The two camilies were neighbors when living near Thrall,TX.
Everyone expressed a desire to meet again,making the reunion as annual event.

My paternal grandmother's maiden name was Ida Kaatz. She married Fritz Burmeister in Berlin around 1906. I wanted to know who the Kaatzes are. There seems to be a strong Pomeranian Lutheran flavour.

My name is Marleen Kaatz. I live in California. I am originally from Michigan, and most of my family is still there. My grandfather's name was Frederick Carl Kaatz (deceased). My grandmother's name is Norene(Hagen) . My grandfather had a brother named Vernon(?) , a sister named Irene. Those are the two I am sure of. I believe my great-grandfather's name was Otto. My aunt's and uncle's names are- Stanley,Annette,Dale,Lorene,Ronald(my father),Bruce,& Mindy.

Polish Kaatz

My family is from Texas, but recently we were at the Holocast museum in DC, and there was a villiage of Polish Jews, some of who's names were Kaatz who were imprisioned by the Nazi's. If anyone has information on this I would appreciate it...
Also any information on a family of Kaatz that immigrated from Germany or Poland to the Austin Texas area in the middle to late 1800's.

August Kaatz lost his life in or about 1917 in a rail accident in Manitoba, Canada. He left his wife, Ottilie (Hoffman) and 4 small children, Herbert, Edward (my Dad), Martha Helena. Edward and Martha are still with us today. Ottilie remarried Herman Stebbe. To my knowledge Augusts fathers name was Julius. August had 7 siblings. Godlup, Herman, Fred, Email, Laypolt, Helena Ervin. Most of these Kaatz's lived in the Beausejour, MB area. Any information about the ancestory of this family would be most apprieciated.
