My children last name is kachmar.Their familes oringinated from Eastern Europe.Espically around Hungary,Romania,Czech republic, and the ukraine.katymar Hungary used to be called kachmar.Many cultures invaded that area so the name could have come from anywhere.Iv'e found the name inmany different area spelled the same way.I believe it's an ancient name.The Hungarian language is not actually European.It's related to the Persians.
