I think your grandmother's name was Alice VACHUTA before she married Blase VRBAS. Otherwise, the rest sounds correct. Derek Vap is my nephew.

How neat.... Rosie Kacirek is my great grandmother. My grandmother is Alice Kacirek, who married Blase Louis Vrbas, both of Rawlins Co., and lived in Stratton, NE.

I also went to high school here in Kansas City with Derek Vap, which i guess I am related to through Anna Kacirek (my g-grandma's sister that married a Vap i'm guessing???)

By the way, Ben, I think I went to high school with you at WP my senior year. And I guess we are related because Theo (your g-grandpa) is my g-grandma's brother.

What a small world.

Umm... I'm interested about the Kacirek name, it's origins and well who I am related to. Kacirek isn't a very common name. I am the grandson of Laddie Kacirek and Vera Harper. And the son of David Kacirek and Rebecca Neil.

Died, April 15, 1902, Frank Kacirek, aged 68 years. The deceased was born in the province of Bohemia, Austria. He came to this country in ’81. He leaves a wife, two sons and one daughter to mourn his loss. All of whom are married. The remains were laid to rest at the Catholic cemetery Friday, April 18, Rev. Bor officiating.
