I'm looking for information on my great grandfather, Alphonse Kaelin. Born July 1, 1861 in Einsiedeln, Canton Schwyz, Switzerland. Emigrated c. 1889 to US and settled in Louisville, KY. Married Sophia Zehnder August 18,1896. Died April 7, 1911. Any information would be appreciated. Also, if others have successfully requested information from sources in Switzerland regarding birth, death, and other public records, I would appreciate information regarding who and how to contact.
