Do you know who is parents are. My 3rd great grandfather was born in 1864 in Ottenhoefen, Germany. Perhaps they are cousins. I would be interested to see if we can connect our families and share information.

any connection to Kaesshafer?

My grandmother's maiden name was Kaesshafer but I can't find it in any of the forums. Is it possible that Kaesshafer is derived from some other German surname? Or that it was changed upon arrival in the US (they settled in Philadelphia)? If you have any information or suggestions about where I might look please let me know.<br>

I am searching for my Kaeshammer ancestors who were from Ottenhoefen, Baden-Wuerttemberg, German. Friedrich Kaesshammer bn 5Mar1814, md 2Oct1837 Margaretha Gaiser dau of Gertrud Gaiser, died 23Jun1880 in Ottenhoefen, Baden Germany. Friedrich's parents were Johann Kaesshammer and Agatha Walz. Other wives include Barbara Lepold 1868 and Katharina Schnurr 1870. Friedrich's dau, Magdalena bn 17Jul1840 md Josef Kimmig 1881, died 1916. Son on Josef Kimmig and Magdalena Kaesshammer was Julius (gallus) Kaesshammer (my great grandfather) who came to America about 1881 and married Anna Henrietta Wilhelmina Schoenknecht of Mellen Prussia. They settled in Madison, Connecticut.
