Recently (summer, 2011) I have posted a number of findings and thoughts about origins of the Kagi or Kagy families in Switzerland to the "Kagy Family Genealogy Forum." That's one of the Genealogy.com forums. The heart of Kagi territory seems to be the Zurich Highlands centered in the upper Toss River valley, southeast of Zurich city, including locations like Fischenthal and Bauma.
