Peter & Adelheid (Koencken) Kahrs and Cord & Margaret (Ficken) Kahrs from
Altenbülstedt, Hanover with families of Cord's sons John and Herman. All
settled in the Lake Creek area of southeast Pettis County, Missouri where
Peter's sons Cord and Louis had established residence earlier. Cord died
there before 1850, Peter & Adelheid and Margaret before 1860. John's wife
Gesche died 1853, and he married Maria Ringen. Herman's family moved to
Sedalia, Missouri in 1870s.
