In Memory of Clyde E. Kain

Clyde Edison Kain, age 76, died Saturday, July 5, 1997, at Des Moines General Hospital, Des Moines, Iowa.

He was born October 6, 1920 at Percy, Iowa son of Earnest and Pearl Kain. He was united in marriage to Donna West on September 30, 1938. Clyde farmed in the Runnells area and did construction work also. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; three sons, Ronald (Linda) of Prairie City, Donald (Janice) of Runnells, and Robert (Donna) of Des Moines; four daughters, Janice (Dick) Thomas and Lucy (Mervin) Vaughn of Runnells, Patty Boot and Wanda (Hugh) Taylor of Prairie City. Also surviving are two brothers, Cloman of Runnells and Johnnie of Auburn, Washington; Two sisters, Marlene McReynolds and Paulene Herwehe of Prairie City. Clyde was the proud grandfather of 20 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Darlene King and Colene Murphy, and one brother, Bernard.
