I do not think I have roots from Finland, but my paternal grandparents were Fannie & Joseph Kainen from the Ukraine.

They emigrated to New York in approximately 1905. I would love to find other relations. I know that Joseph had several siblings, but I'm not sure of their names.

My grandparents lived in New York City all their lives & had 3 sons: my father, Abraham Joseph Kainen, born in April of 1908, then Jacob born in 1909, who went on to become very well-known in the art world and Edward, the youngest, who died in his early forties, approximately 50 years ago.
