Looking for anyone who may know something about my grandfather's family. His name was Peter William Kaleta or maybe Pietre Wilhelm Kaleta born a Catholic in Katowice in 1873, he emigrated to Australia in 1898 after changing his name to Peter William Schaffer, he had no further contact with his family so very little is known about them. His parents were Jan Kaleta & Rosalin Rudka ( or Budka )& it's possible that he had a sister named Kathrina & brother Thomas, it is believed that he had many siblings but nothing is known of them. My grandfather was the ' black sheep ' of the family so it's possible that he was never spoken of again by his family but if there's anyone who may know of or has heard of a family black sheep please let me know.
