Hi Tom,

good timing. We just got the fort wayne Kalikers together at our vacation cottage. No insights on John Sr.

would like to have his obit with picture to post on Ancestry.com.

I'm going to continue to search for John's origins. Just got my side back to 1792 in Ireland. Have been working on that for a year.

Our best to you,

Terry

If you want to email me directly to save time, email me at worshipGod@cox.net, and I can give you Bill's email from that site.

Bill's mom is Rita, the 2nd daughter of Edmund & Marie. Four of the five children of Edmund and Marie are still alive. In fact, they are all together today, which is unusual because they live in three different states.

The data I have is not much, but am glad to share what I have. When I talk to Rita, she seems to remember more than the other two I've talked to. But no one seems to want to talk about John, for the pain and disgrace he brought to the family.

John Sr's wife was Theresa Andorfer Therisa on tomb stone.
I found John's obit and it said he was from Switzerland.
I have no idea about their relationship.
I heard John was a black sheep after he was divorced.
Celeste, my grandmother, was Jacob's only wife.
I know Mary divorced John. I heard he was running around.
I don't think he remaried, he and Mary are buried by their selves.
All of their children are dead, Marie was the last to die in 2001. I talked to her on the phone and she could remember much.

Can you tell me John Kaliker Sr.'s wife's name? Do you know if they are immigrants and if so, from where?

Can you tell me if John and Jacob had a good relationship?

Is Celeste Jacob's only wife?

Thank you for your help. It seems John Jr. abandoned his family and remarried, though I cannot seem to find any information about that remarriage. None of the children of John Jr. know or will speak of the history, and Mary is dead.
