If this is the Kallenberg Castle in Baden I have a few photos I can send. They are pictures of the remnants of the castle after it was burned in the late 1800s I believe. This would have been somewhere in the time period of Ernest11 - the Duke of Saxe - Cobourg - Gotha - His father had gifted the castle to the duke shortly after his marriage to Princess Alexandria of Baden - *I would love to
see a photo of the painting if that would be possible!

Thank you, and I hope this information helps you in some way
Christopher

I don't know if your Kallenberg's are the same as my Kallinberg ... but I have one for you ... :)

I know nothing about "Miss" Kallinberg / Kallenberg !

The only thing I do know is that she was born about 1856 in Luxembourg, Germany. She married "Mr" LaVine about 1874, probably in California or New York. I think "Mr" LaVine was actually William LaVine, but this has not been 100% confirmed.

Mr LaVine was born in 1849 in New York. (I know nothing more about his history ...)

By 1876, Miss Kallinberg / Kallenberg and Mr LaVine lived in California, in or near Sacramento.

The LaVine's had one son that I know of, Emil Alfred LaVine, who was born 5 June 1876 in California (probably Sacramento or Stockton vacinity).

If you can help with either of these families, I'd really appreciate it!

Thank you!
KTaylor
bluewolf@onemain.com
