My father, Theodore Hastings Kampman, was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1903. His parents were William Kampman and Ella Hastings Kampman. They lived in Monroe county, La Crosse, Sparta, as well as Milwaukee. Grandpa was a railroad telegrapher and Grandma was a teacher. She was a devout Methodist.
