Kampman's in Indiana

Looking for any info on William Kampman b. abt 1854 (parents Friedrich Fred Kampman & Hanna Anna Greiwe). I know that he married Lena Lycett and they had at least two children (John William (my great grandfather)& Ade). I would like to know when he died if they had any other children and if in fact Lena's last name was Lycett etc. I have found census info on here, but no death or marriage records. I'm really hoping to find other people that have some Kampmans in their trees as well! Thanks! :)

Hi second cousin twice removed!

Sure nice to get your message! I would love to share info with you. When I was up in Pennsylvania over the 4th of July, I made it to the courthouse in Pittsburgh and was able to find a few Kampman and Heilman marriage certificates which helped me fill in a couple of gaps, but I have a lot more. I have also found the family in several censuses. I am so excited that you found me. My email address is RussDLentz@aol.com

My name is Russell Lentz, and I am the great-grandson of Mary (Maize) Kampman(n), the daughter of William who ran away and Anna Heilman, but it sounds like you know this.

I will look forward to hearing from you.

Your cousin,
Russ
Tallahassee, Florida

My father, Theodore Hastings Kampman, was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1903. His parents were William Kampman and Ella Hastings Kampman. They lived in Monroe county, La Crosse, Sparta, as well as Milwaukee. Grandpa was a railroad telegrapher and Grandma was a teacher. She was a devout Methodist.
If you have any information about this family, please contact me at the following address:

fiddler@radiks.net

Merwinna Stevens
