I have a Josephine Fischer in my ancestry from Germany who immigrated in 1855 and married a Jacob Gross. They had one son, George B. They spent most of their lives in New York and Jersey City. Any possible relation?

I am sorry I lost your message but just found it again.
My name is Kampmueller by marriage, my husbands grandfather and grandmother came from Germany in the late 1800's. I do not have all of the information but will get it and get back to you. I do know that his grandmothers maiden name was Fischer. My husbands name is Thomas, his fathers name was Charles Fred, and his grandfather's name was Karl. Please feel free to contact me at tbkamp@frontiernet.net. I am not even sure what part of Germany they came from but will find out. It is confusing as
my relatives are also from Germany, my maiden name was Beck and my mother's maiden name was Mohr.
So nice to hear from you. Keep in touch if you like, b

Tom's grandfather was Karl Kampmueller, he came over from Germany, as near as we can figure, probably around 1890. His grandmother
maiden name was Josephine Fischer. She came over earlier and worked to earn money to send for Karl. We are not sure of dates. If you want more information we would be able to get it as our son is also interested.
Hope this helps and would like to hear more from you.
him

Hi Betty!
I found your threat incidentally and were attracted by it, because of our rare name.
We are still living in Germany and i dont know, if anyone of
our relatives emigrated to the U. S. but due to your information
I will start searching.
Do you have any further information?
Please feel free to contact me via mail.
yours,
Oliver

Thanks for such a speedy reply. Joseph Kampmueller obtained his immigration docket and arrival listed as 9/31/1888, five years later was naturalized; 6/23/1895. Came to Fayette County Penna. to work in the coal mines; after five years bought property and became a farmer. Perhaps Karl was a brother. Will add Karl to my search in the ship search.

Grandfather Joseph Kampmueller/Kumphmiller/Kampmiller immigrated from Germany in late 1800's. Have been looking for the same name. Found some Kampmillers in the Germany phone/addresses site. Looking for relative.
