On the 1850 US census of Johnson Co., Indiana, there is a Columbus Keneaster, living in the household of Henry Keneaster, age 57, b. Virginia, carpenter and his wife Elizabeth. this Henry was married to Elizabeth Moreland [also spelled Morlan, Morland etc] in1813 in Frederick County Virginia. A John Harbourt signed the marriage certificate as bondsman. They moved to Kentucky with Henry's sister, Margaret, and Margaret's husband, Paul Harbourt. Paul was brother to the John Harbourt who signed the marriage deed of Henry Keneaster. Paul and Henry bought land together in Jefferson Co. Ky in 1822. In about 1827, Paul and family moved to Johnson Co. Indiana. By 1840, Henry and his family were living in Johnson Co. Indiana also. As far as I can tell, Henry & Elizabeth Keneaster had the following children: Henry Jr. b. abt 1814/15, Elizabeth b. 1818/19, Cyrus [died in Mexican War in 1847], Marion [or Francis Marion], who was living next door to his father henry on the 1850 and 1860 census's in Indiana. There were at least 1 more son and 2 more daughters that I haven't identified.
