I'm trying to trace my husband's family. His great grandmother was Elizabeth "Eliza" Kaney Mears (12/17/1865-10/7/1932). She and her husband, Martin Mears raised 7 children in Sauk Co. It is believed that Elizabeth Kaney's parents might have been Ann McGuire and James or Jacob Kaney. Elizabeth and Martin Mears are buried by St. Patrick's church in the Loretto cemetery in Sauk Co.
