Hello... From what my father has limitedly explained to me, there was a family fued way way back when my father was a boy (he's 73 now), and the 2 brothers decided to split and one went as far as to change the spelling of his last name. I was in my 20's and was attending my grandfather John's funeral when his brother, whom I never even knew existed walked in... Spitting image of my PawPaw. My father talked to him for a few mins and he left. I didn't get introduced and that's when I recieved a 1 line explaination of who he was and what happened. I didn't push it any farther than that. This is all I know and I'm not 100% sure if it's true or what caused the division in the first place. John Kanfeld. grandson
