My notes regarding Wilhelm Ludwig KANNIESS/KANIES are as follows:

!BIRTH/BAPTISM: Stojentin, Kr Stolp, Pommern ev Church Records.
!MARRIAGE: Records are not available for this time frame.
!NOTE: He is a Tagelöhner (day laborer) in Czierwienz.
!IMMIGRATION: Germans to America, volume 35, page 129. Sailed on the Donau, Bremen to New York, arriving 12 April 1880. Wilhelm is a farmer age 33, wife Emilie is 27, also children Eduard 7, Ida 4, Richard age 1 and his mother-in-law Wilhelmina Neumann age 50 (her age is incorrect, she is actually age 60).
!DEATH: St Matthew Lutheran Church, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. Record #4980. Death at 66 years, 9 months and 8 days.
!BURIAL: Concordia Cemetery, Forest Park, Cook County, Illinois. Lot 823 Section 4, Death at St. Anthony Hospital. Death at 66 years.

My notes regarding Carl Johann KANNIESS are as follows:
!BIRTH: Birth year is estimated by his age at time of marriage to Caroline Woit.
!MARRIAGE: Stojentin, Kr Stolp, Pommern ev Church Records.
He is 39 years of age and widower at the time of his marriage to Caroline Woit.
!NOTE: He is an "Einwohner" (inhabitant) in Czierwienz.

Emilie Auguste NEUMANN was a sister to my great-grandfather, August NEUMANN. I have extensive information regarding the Neumann line. Hopefully we are talking about the same Emilie. Please contact me direct.
