Madeline (Tita Mads) is Edwin's sister, he is the baby of the family. Edwin's grandfather Edward Kaanaana Kapaona is Clement's grandmother, Mary Lucy's brother.

Hi,
Just scanning through and came across the Tampos name.My husband is related to a Madeline Tampos. His name is Clement Lopes. Genealogy starts from Kalawaia,Kapaona, Makia,and Lopes. Mother is Violet Kuanea.His grandmother is Mary Lucy Kapaona.

Maria Kapaona, 78, Clarksville, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, at Spring Meadows Health Care Center.

A private service will be held.

The remains are to be cremated.

McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was born March 27, 1928, in Germany, daughter of Viktor and Viktoria Ganz.

Mrs. Kapaona was a homemaker and a Catholic.

Survivors include her daughter, Ingeborg Deason, Clarksville; grandchildren, Victor Deason, Clarksville, Michelle Taunton, Allensville, Ky.; brother, Helmut Ganz, Germany.

Arrangements in the care of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, 647-3371.

I am here in on the Island of O'ahu and noe residing in town. I have noticed the website. I am in the military and noticed that there is 2 other Kapaona's in the U.S. forces. I do hope that you keep me in touch. I am not to close to this side family but real close to the Naipo Family.

I return to our ancestors play ground ( Kohala akau, i ka mokupuni O Keawe) from time to time. Every time I go the beauty remains the same.

The mana is still there.

e kala mai ia'u ...haven't done genealogy in a very long time....as you can see, just getting to your message of 2003....

we are in phoenix, az......

yes, joyce is edwin's cousin.....unfortunately edwin passed away on sept 4th of last year, but i will continue to do our genealogy not only because i have now found 9 direct hits of our trees, but because i love perpetuating our 'aina....

am just getting back to genealogy so maybe we can keep in contact......

If anyone is interested with this family, I hope they find something good.
I was begat by Clarence "U-ua" Kainoa Kapaona and Rosalie Wal Wha Pai. My father was begat by Philip K Kapaona Sr. and Helen Naipo. Helen Naipo is also related to the same Naipo family of Waimanalo, Oahu. My father and Lena Girl Naipo from KCCN FM-100 father are cousins. Kapaona from which I am from lived within the Kohala area of the Big Island, also knowing the Kim's in Kohala, YES, the same Kim's as Kohala Kim Chee.

I am in Oahu. Any ways, Edward Kapaona is the brother to my Great Grandmother Lucy Kekaula Kapaona. Their father was Daniel Kekaula Kapaona and their mother was Kaioa.

I am working on my family tree (see KAIAOKAMALIE). My husband is from Mahukona, His mother is Agnes Keonaonalani KAPAONA married to Arcadio TAMPOS, Sr. Her parents are Edward Kaanaana KAPAONA and Keolaonalani Kaiawe KEKOI. I am in the process of imputting our trees in this site. We both have Lincoln, Lindsey, Stevens etc.
