May I ask how old your husband is?

I am comfortable to say that Frank Kapitula, who you described by address, is Samuel's brother. Frank passed away in 1952. He lived into his 80s. Peter Kapitula, one of Frank's three sons, was my grandfather who passed away in 1966. Peter Kapitula married Eva Hody (from Poland) and had one child, Dolores - who is my mother.

Kapitula surname is not Russian

This was a fairly common name in the Vohlyn Region>late 18th century - 1919 this was called Vohlynskaya Gubernia/Region under Czarist Russia>and is today's UKRAINE. The surname, Kapitula, is Ukrainian. What was your immigrant ancestor's given name?
